Android Apps

At this moment the droid next to me is playing Angry Birds.  Earlier a Pandora app played Beethoven’s Sonata No.14 in the dining room while it was discovered that Fort Bend County, Texas is among the top ranked counties in the United States with  high cancer rates ( according to the EPA-Environmental Protection Agency).

The droid next to me still has the size sticker and merchandise tag attached to the new shirt he was trying on for the first time…right before Angry Birds.  Rachmaninoff is playing Concerto No.1 – Piano/Orchestra in the background.

The scanner app doesn’t work for Whole Foods fresh items…organics are not caught up with technology but Slim Thug has an app.  Angry Birds is the 9th “Top Free” app on Android.com.

BBC News App

Democracy Now! Audio & Video Headlines App

PDF Viewer……….*sigh*…………battery died.  It’s time they made a battery app.

Technology divides the world into separate communities.  Those that watch local television and those that watch CNN on cable.  Those listening to satellite radio and foreign broadcast media along with the American Television Networks…or those that have no idea.

Lets complain about how much money it costs the White House to do business abroad.  Lets speculate about what they might be eating while they’re there.  We can spend OUR money making bumper stickers that read:

One
Big
A**
Mistake
America.

And below we can have another that reads:

“Socialism. A great idea until you run out of other people’s money.”

Apps.  Technological surgeries amongst communities worldwide.  The day the United States signed a bill giving government the ability to “turn off the internet” like a light switch…was the day the original purpose of the internet died.  People can ban parts of the world from the view of other people.

A conversation earlier focused on the comparison of a black hole to particles that inversely consume gravity into the solar system.  As the droid next to me focused on “the making of” such a process that would create an inverse reaction.  Of course.  He’s in production…and I’m in idealist entrepreneurship.  2012.  The world will not end.  The newest technological advancement will be made,

…into an app.

ANGRY BIRDS say, “weeeeeee”.
Goodnight.

“My current work wrestles between painting, drawing and installation. Each piece demonstrates the everyday struggle of trying to keep it together, a controlled chaos of sorts. The internal battles of the good, bad and ugly are evident in the projectile nature of my work. Fluorescent and over saturated colors celebrate the journey of something achieved or gained, a conquest that was worth the fight! I want to rock Miami…bring it on!”

2 Europeans, 1 Eritrean, 1 Colombian American, 1 Mexican American, and an American on IMMIGRATION.

Immigration Reform

"No Amero, No Sombrero" - Demonstration March - Houston, TX. 5 / 1 / 2010

There are those that say there comes a point when America will need to draw the line in terms of how many immigrants will be welcomed with open arms and granted citizenship in the country.

There are others who simply believe the government will spend too much money trying to deport the immigrants who are already here.

Still others will argue that it is the choice of each individual to make their lives in whichever country, continent, valley, mountain, or desert they choose.

A young American woman once told me she supported deportation because “Americans treat immigrants so unfairly here that they’re better off back in their own country”.  (She sincerely felt bad for undocumented immigrants).

But the Mexican American next to her asked if she had ever seen the average Mexican immigrant’s life back home.  Miles past touristic border towns there is no electricity, no plumbing and no grocery stores.  The average person travels by mule, grows his/her own food, and builds his/her own home out of wooden boards or concrete if he/she can afford it.

But the American woman had never seen such a place.

The Justice Department filed a lawsuit last week in a federal court in Phoenix against the Arizona immigration law.  The Arizona law — which Ms. Brewer signed in April and which, barring an injunction, takes effect July 29 — makes it a crime to be an illegal immigrant there. It also requires police officers to determine the immigration status of people they stop for other offenses if there is a “reasonable suspicion” that they might be illegal immigrants.

Ms. Brewer, who has recently been trailed by television cameras, calls the lawsuit “outrageous” and said the state was receiving donations from around the country to help fight it.

I think Arizona will win,” she said, “and we will take a position for all of America.”

The next question to consider will be whether or not law enforcement officers applying this law will find a constitutional way to enforce it.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?
